Palestine ? ..... What's Palestine ?
I don’t involve myself in politics as I find it extremely boring. However I couldn’t help noticing the recent speech where Barack Obama's called on Israel to retreat to its 1967 borders to secure peace with Palestine. It was also very good to hears that the British Foreign Secretary William Hague (who is so far up Obama's arse you can just about see his feet) supports these policies.
I really don’t see what all the fuss is about. I carried out an extensive search on Google Maps and several other reputable websites and none of them could even find Palestine, but they all found Israel with no problem. So I really can’t see how Israel can give land back to a country that doesn’t exist !

Water for Elephants
It was Friday 13th, so what do you do to stay out of trouble ? We decided to go to the cinema and see ‘Water for Elephants’.
Despite the negative review in the UK Guardian newspaper (and a number of other publications) we enjoyed the film. To quote the Internet Movie Database … “A veterinary student abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a travelling circus as their vet”
One of the 'Stars' of the movie is Rosie the Elephant who for some reason can only understand Polish commands but they don't explain why

I would only make two comments. (1) I don’t understand the relevance of the film title. (2) In my opinion Reese Withspoon is totally miscast.
